Rice Cake



Rice Cake (Philippines Delicacies)


  • 1 kilograms of White Rice
  • 300 grams of White Sugar
  • 5 grams salt
  • 10 grams of dried yeast
  • 50 grams of Baking Powder
  • 1,250 ml of Coconut Milk
  • 500 ml of water


1. First,  wash 1 kilogram of rice twice with clean water and then soaked the rice overnight in 2 liters of water.

2. The next day, drain the rice and wash it again 2 times.

3. Prepare 500 ml of water and soak it again for 20 minutes. In a blender, grind the rice together with the water until it becomes watery or completely runny.

3. Cook 5 cups of coconut milk in a pan for 30 minutes or until it turns greasy. Cooking coconut milk can give the rice cake an aromatic smell and flavor later in the oven cooking. (Make sure to let the cooked coconut milk sit for a few minutes or to cool before mixing it with the ground rice.)

4. In a mixing bowl,altogether, mix the ingredients such as; Grind rice, 300 grams of sugar, 10 grams of dried yeast, 5 grams of salt; mix well and gently pour in and mix the cooked coconut milk. Let the mixture sit for 1 hour or until you see the ingredients rise and bubbles form.

5. After an hour, add 50 grams of baking powder and let stand again for 30 minutes.

6. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Bake the rice cake for 20-25 minutes or until it turns golden. Serve hot.
